No novel

Bah. The company that was going to publish my novel's gone into liquidation. I've been offered another contract from the company picking up the various bits and pieces, but since I haven't seen the terms, they won't distribute it to shops and that I'm leaving the country soon, I don't think I'll bother. Ho hum. It was a nice dream while it lasted.

Anyway, I'm going to Italy on the 19th so I won't be able to adjust my website after that which gives me...

... two weeks to put my entire book on line.

Much as I'd like to be able to read it, DON'T PUT IT ONLINE! I mean, I know, your decision and all, but...
Everybody wants to be a published author.Or at least, nearly everyone in my life. And you've gotten so close.
It's much easier to curl up in bed at night with a book than a laptop, or to take it on the bus, or give it as presents, or to sign...

Yeah, it's a shame. I'm putting it online simply because the chances of it being a book are now nil. I've lived with it for ten years, it was finished two years, I don't think it's going anywhere so I just want it to be out there in some shape or form.

Although, I'll look into this "e-book" idea. never heard of that.

Sarabiga, I'm going to live in Turin. Moving on the 19th. Why are you in Lancaster? And what do you think of our lovely English summer?

I'll try to remember to post some links to sites that talk or deal with e-books. That side of publishing hasn't really taken off yet, but it's a way to get your book in a sellable format (through websites for download). It just may be an option to check out.

You may want to check out greatUNpublished which publishes books both in paper and downloadable editions. I don't think they offer any editorial services (constraints! [img]wink.gif[/img] ) but will publish whatever you give them.
